Island is located approximately 25 kilometers south of Krabi (Thailand) on the Andaman Sea.There are basic passenger and motorcycle ferry services from the pier at Laem Kruat to the villages of Ko Jum. Service is sporadic and the last boat leaves at around 3pm. A much easier route to Koh Jum available during November to April only is direct from Krabi Town

How to get there

Most travelers arrive via the ferries that connect Ko Lanta and Krabi, which charge about 350 baht. The fare can be paid on board, but pre-booking is recommended as the ferry is often full. The way overland by bus to Laem Kruat Village and by boat from there to Phu Island Village is not really convenient, but the only way to reach Jum Island Thailand during the monsoon season.

How to get there

Ferries leave from Phuket and Krabi daily (from Krabi two ferries a day at 09:00 and 14:30 and from Phuket at 09:00, 11:00, and 14:30 several times a day (11:00 during high-season only). Tickets can be purchased on-line or on the dock, from tourist offices, most local guest houses and hotels.

How to get there

Krabi is 16km from Ao Nang and can be reached by local bus (Song-thaew) from 6.30am until 6pm for 50B per person and from 6pm until 9pm for 60B per person. There is also a public bus service to Krabi Airport at 150B per person.

How to get there

Krabi Airport to AoNang or Krabi town.the shuttle bus to AoNang (150 Baht) or Krabi (90 Baht)- The buses are timed to meet the flights. You can also hire a taxi which will take up to four people to AoNang (600 Baht) or Krabi (350 Baht). It takes about 40 minutes to drive from the airport to AoNang when you arrive Ao Nang Beach it's a quick longtail boat ride to Railay Beach takes about 15 minutes and they have to have at least eight people to fill a boat before they will depart.The boats go from the corner where the approach road turns into the beach road and there is a blue kiosk where you can buy tickets. They will offer to sell you a return ticket. Do not buy one. It is a scam. No boatman will honour the ticket and the office is closed in late afternoon so you cannot get a refund when you get back.
